About Jean Fuchs

I have over 10+ years of experience owning DR Insurance located in Hawley, MN! I specialize in Life, Home, Medicare, Business/Commercial, Auto, and Farm Insurance. 

I Started at DR Planning April 2011, working with Medicare Health Plans. Virgil Gunnarson, the owner, passed away in August 2012 and I purchased the Medicare Health Plans Book of Business from his family and started DR Insurance.

I added Life, Home, Auto, Farm & Commercial lines in May 2013. Since remained in the same office in Hawley, MN. When Covid began, I started working from my home office in Rollag, MN and I still meet with appointments in the Hawley office, but the majority of my time is in my Home office now.  Which works very well for me as I can meet the elderly at their homes regarding their Medicare plans and most other insurances are done with text, email and calls, with the technology now, home office is more efficient in so many ways.

I really enjoy working with the new Medicare Plans every year and those that are aging into Medicare; helping them to decide which plan best fits their needs. It can be  overwhelming when you are trying to decide which plan to choose. I am happy to help you figure out the best coverage for your prescription drug costs and healthcare needs.

I have insured several Small Business Owners in the area and new businesses getting started, it is so rewarding helping a new business get started. Farm policies are a detailed policy that you really want to make sure they are getting the coverage they need, there is so much on a farm policy to take into consideration, these policies along with a business/commercial policy should be reviewed regularly to make sure everything that needs to be covered, is covered.

I have resided in the Hawley zip code for about 30 years now and I enjoy spending time with my children, family and friends. I have two grown children that graduated from the Hawley School that are still in the area.
